Dubuque house fire deemed suspicious

An explosion and fire in March at a Dubuque home is now being ruled suspicious.

Officials say 24-year-old Matthew Stuckey was the only person there at the time of the fire.  He had non-life threatening injuries as a result.

Crews were called to the home in the 300 block of Valeria Street on the evening of March 20th.  That's after neighbors heard an explosion from the three story brick duplex, and then saw flames shooting from the home.

There was heavy smoke, heat, and water damage to the entire home. Investigators say the fire started on the first floor, near the kitchen and rear stairway entrance.

Call police if you have information.
