DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- If you'd like to learn more about workplace discrimination laws, an upcoming workshop can help.

Employers Council of Northeast Iowa, in partnership with IowaWORKS, Dubuque Area Labor Management Council and Northeast Iowa Community College Town Clock Center for Professional Development, is offering "Workplace Discrimination Issues and the Relevance of Diversity and Inclusion".  The featured speaker will be Tom Good, a trainer with the Iowa Civil Rights Commission in Des Moines.

The training is being held on Thursday, May 17 at NICC Town Clock Center for Professional Development, 680 Main Street in Dubuque.  It will run from 1-4 p.m. and costs $24.  That fee includes refreshments and three approved HRCI credits.

All business owners, human resource personnel, managers, line supervisors, attorneys, paralegals, recruiters, human resource outsourcing companies and accounting firms are invited to attend.  Due to the complex nature of this topic, employers are encouraged to send multiple staff.

You can register for the workshop online here, under course #2270.  You can also sign-up by calling (563) 557-8271 ext. 380.  Pre-registration is required.
