Arrests made in Iowa City stabbing

Iowa City police have arrested two people in connection with fight that injured two people on Saturday morning.

Police say an argument started in a group of people in the area of Washington and Gilbert Streets. According to witnesses, 19-year-old Colleen Hogan pulled out an edged weapon and cut one of the people in the group. Police say 25-year-old Charles Keith Marshall Phillips pulled out a knife and stabbed another person in the group.

One of the people injured did not need medical attention. The other person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening lacerations and stab wounds.

Hogan is charged with public intoxication, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, possession of cocaine, and having contraband in a correctional facility. Phillips is charged with public intoxication, assault causing bodily injury and willful injury causing serious injury.
