Measles cases confirmed in Minnesota

ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA (KWWL) -- The Minnesota Department of Public Health is confirming nine cases of measles in that state.  All of the cases were children between four months and four years in age.

Half were too young to get vaccinated.  Others were of age but were not vaccinated.  There have been no deaths.

Officials say the likely source for this measles outbreak is an infant who traveled to Kenya and returned in the beginning of February.  We haven't had any official word on cases from this outbreak in Iowa.
