UNI student is laid to rest

WEST DES MOINES (KWWL) -- A University of Northern Iowa student who was killed in a crash last week has been laid to rest.

Funeral services were held at Willow Creek Baptist Church Tuesday morning for Anna Williams.  The 20-year-old from Carlisle died Friday when driving back to school.  Williams was returning to Cedar Falls to join other members of the UNI Pep Band.  The band was getting ready to travel to Kansas and cheer on the UNI women's basketball team in the NCAA Tournament.

Williams died when she lost control of her car and rolled during her trip to Cedar Falls that morning.

Anna Williams was studying psychology at UNI.  She was very loyal to her teams including the Carlisle Wildcats, UNI Panthers, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
