Search for dog that attacked police dog

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- Law officers haven't yet found a pit bull that attacked a Polk County deputy's patrol dog earlier this month.

The patrol dog, Damian, was helping Deputy Mark Mohr and Des Moines officers search for a robbery suspect on March 1.  Mohr says that when he and Damian were walking back to their vehicle after the search was called off, the pit bull suddenly appeared and tore into Damian.  Damian fought back as Mohr stumbled to the ground. A Des Moines officer fired his Taser and hit the pit bull, which ran off.

Mohr says Damian was not seriously injured.
