UPDATE: Eight teens hurt in Fayette County rollover


FAYETTE COUNTY (KWWL) -- The Iowa State Patrol now says eight teens were taken to area hospitals after a weekend rollover east of Sumner.

The crash happened Saturday around 10:50 a.m. on County Road V68 near the Highway 93 intersection.  The Iowa State Patrol says the driver lost control and rolled into the ditch.

Six people were taken to area hospitals.  They included:

-Austin Kelderman, 16, Sumner
-Nicholas Woster, 19, Sumner
-Joseph VanBrunning, 17, Sumner
-Joseph Abrahamson, 16, Sumner
-Kole Winters, 16, Tripoli
-Erica Buck, 16, Grundy Center
-Zach VanBrunning, 16, Sumner 
-One unnamed passenger

The crash report showed none of the injured people were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and alcohol was a factor in the rollover.  Charges are pending.  Authorities have not released the conditions of the injured passengers.
