UPDATE: Grief counselors available after John Deere employee killed in accident

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Police have identified the 23-year-old woman killed Thursday afternoon in a tractor accident in Waterloo.

Waterloo Police say Rochelle Nicolette Perry, was driving the tractor between John Deere plants when she lost control of the tractor in the area of 1326 Newell Street around 12:18 p.m.

A spokesperson for John Deere has confirmed that Perry was an engineer with the company.

"Our deepest sympathy and the condolences of all John Deere employees go out today to the family and friends of Rochelle, who died yesterday in a tragic accident," Director of Global Public Reputation Strategy Ken Golden said in a written statement.

Golden says grief counselors are available for John Deere employees in Waterloo.

Cpt. Tim Pillack says she lost control for an unknown reason and the tractor hit a pole.  The woman was then pinned under the tractor.

Golden says OSHA has been notified and will conduct an investigation.
