Former Waterloo teacher's trial delayed

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- The trial for a former Waterloo West teacher accused of having a 17-year-old student shower in chocolate syrup and play strip video games has been delayed.

Larry Twigg, 53, was in court Thursday morning for a pretrial conference.  The trial, which was scheduled to begin Tuesday, will now start on April 5.

Twigg is charged with six counts of lascivious conduct with a minor.

Last week, Twigg's attorney filed a motion to have the case dismissed, but that was denied.
