Four arrested after drug bust in Iowa City

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- Four people were arrested after police busted a drug house in Iowa City on Sunday night.

After getting reports of suspicious activity on Sandusky Drive, officers saw signs of drug manufacturing while talking to the people that live at 1211 Sandusky Drive.

After getting a search warrant, officers found items used in making drugs both inside and outside the home.

Police arrested 40-year-old Joyce Anne Oxford, 29-year-old Timothy Donald Messier, 67-year-old Charles Norman Griffin, and 42-year-old Terry Lee Griffin.

All four are charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Precursor and Keeping a Drug House.

Oxford and Terry Griffin were arrested in October of 2010 after an incident at the Riverside Casino.

According to police, Oxoford's ex-husband was in his semi at the casino when he received a call from Oxofrd saying that she was going to come down with her boyfriend, Griffin, and "stomp" him.

Police say Oxford and Griffin showed up at the casino and busted out the passenger side window and tail lights of the truck.

Oxford was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated or Drugged and Possession of a Controlled Substance after she was found in Iowa City driving on the wrong side of the road.  She had the left the casino and Washington County had issued an attempt to locate order on her.

Griffin was arrested at the casino and charged with Criminal Mischief.
