5 of 15 Black Hawk County businesses caught selling alcohol to minors

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Black Hawk County deputies cited five of the 15 businesses they checked Thursday night for selling alcohol to minors.

Deputies conducted an "Underage Alcohol Compliance Sting" at stores and bars in Black Hawk County Thursday night.

These 10 businesses were found to be :

- Chucky's Tollgate, 204 Main St., Dunkerton
- Casey's, 402 Hwy 218, La Porte City
- Pronto, 606 Hwy 218, La Porte City
- BP, 7305 La Porte Rd, Waterloo
- The Bar, 309 S. 3rd St., Raymond
- Road Ranger, 100 Plaza Dr., Elk Run
- Kum & Go, 5202 Lafayette Rd., Elk Run
- Federal Pub, 317 5th St., Hudson
- Git-n-Go, 124 Wood St., Hudson
- Casey's, 2424 Ranchero Rd., Waterloo

These five businesses sold to a person under the age of 21:

- New Star Mart II, 9 N. Elk Run Rd, Waterloo.  Clerk was Mohammad Imran age 32.
- Kathy's Corner, 1830 N. Raymond Rd., Dewar. Clerk was Kristen Johnson age 22.
- Kwik Star, 813 S. Canfield Rd., Dunkerton.  Clerk was Heather Grovier age 29.
- Casey's, 115 25th Ave., Gilbertville.  Clerk was Brittney Rose age 22.
- 10th Inning, 110 25th Ave., Gilbertville.  Clerk was Lee Frost age 61.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says the total cost of the fine for each clerk is $740.
