SHERRILL (KWWL) -- The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a two-year-old boy who died late Wednesday afternoon and the name of the driver of the truck that hit him.

The Dubuque County Sheriff's Department says Myles Michael Ernzen, 2, wandered away from his home at 15741 South Mound Road and ran across the road in front of a truck driven by Arlan J. Hammerand, 63, of Sherrill.

The accident happened at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The sheriff's office says Ernzen's parents weren't aware that he had gotten outside.

No charges have been filed, but the accident remains under investigation.
