CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- A former Waterloo man is facing federal child pornography charges.

Martin Weeks, 42, is charged for allegedly receiving and possessing child pornography between November 2007 and February 2008.

The indictment was unsealed in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids on Monday.

The indictment also alleges that Weeks altered, destroyed, and concealed electronic data with the intent to impede, obstruct, and influence the investigation of crimes in April 2008.

If convicted, Weeks faces between 5 years and 50 years in prison, $750,000 in fines and from 5 years to life on supervised release.

Weeks appeared in federal court in Cedar Rapids on Thursday and was released on bond. His trial is set for April 11.
