Cedar Falls robots show school spirit

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- Some Cedar Falls students are getting into the spirit of robots. The Cedar Falls High School Robotics Team 525 built a robot. It will soon be sent to Kansas City for competition.

The object of this year's competition is for the robot to hang floaties on polls in the right order.

Cedar Falls students say they have professional mentors there to help them along the way.

"We design the robot. We build the robot and they help us along the way and make sure we don't have too strenuous of ideas. Its a great opportunity to learn about science and technology," said Ashley Brown, Cedar Falls Senior.

If you would like see the robot in action.  The Cedar Falls Robotics Team 525 will hold an open house on Feb. 20, from 3:00-5:00 at Valley Lutheran School.
