Cyclones lose 8th straight 71-66 at #21 Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KWWL) -- Nathan Walkup scored 19 points and No. 21 Texas A&M held off Iowa State 71-66 on Wednesday night.

The Aggies (20-5, 7-4 Big 12) were up by seven before Iowa State cut the lead to 66-62 on a 3-pointer by Scott Christopherson with 90 seconds to play. Texas A&M's Khris Middleton made three free throws in the next minute to push the lead back to seven, and the Aggies held on.

The victory was Texas A&M's third straight overall and eighth in a row over the Cyclones.

Iowa State (14-12, 1-10), which was led by Jake Anderson's 18 points, dropped its eighth consecutive game.
