Father and daughter cut hair for good cause

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- A father and daughter decided to get their hair cut Wednesday morning for a good cause.

Doug Walter had been growing his hair out for two year. His daughter Carrie McKinney had been growing her hair out for four years.

They decided to donate it to Locks of Love.  The charity is for children who are suffering from long term hair loss.

"It's amazing to know that you have been working hard to grow your hair for that long and someone is going to be able to use it. Because either way you're going to cut it off at that point so it's nice to know that somebody is going to get a chance to use that," said Snipz Hair Studio Owner Charity Dangelser.

To donate to Locks of Love, the hair has to be longer than ten inches.
