NEW DETAILS: Car collides with Williamsburg school bus

WILLIAMSBURG (KWWL) -- The Iowa County Sheriff says the fog played a role in a crash involving a Williamsburg Community School District bus on Wednesday morning.

According to the sheriff, the bus, driven by Dwight Lorenz, 70, was headed west on 240th Street when a car, driven by Suzanne Parsons, 55, crashed into the bus after running a stop sign at the intersection of 240th Street and M Avenue at around 7:21 a.m.

The sheriff says Parsons didn't see the stop sign because of the fog.

No students were on the bus at the time of the accident and Lorenz was not injured.

Parsons was taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle to be evaluated.
