Berries may hold key to lowering risk of Parkinson's Disease

CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTES (KWWL) -- Eating berries and other fruit could lower your risk of Parkinson's Disease according to a new study from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Experts studied food questionnaires filled out by over 100,000 men and women, and who were followed for 20 years.

They found men who ate foods high in flavonoids, like berries, apples and red wine, had a thirty five percent lower risk for Parkinson's Disease.

No such link was found in women.
