UPDATE: Driver arrested after high speed chase


WATERLOO (KWWL) -- A Cedar Falls man who police say led them on a chase over the weekend faces several charges.

35-year-old Michael Johnson Junior was arrested early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, the chase started in Hudson around 12:40 a.m.

Police lost the vehicle in Tama County, but Johnson was then spotted in Cedar Falls.

Police again pursued the vehicle, this time into Waterloo.

About an hour and a half after the chase began, it all ended when the driver hit a snowbank at Ridgeway and Laporte.

Hudson Police have charged Johnson with eluding and other traffic violations. He may face other charges.
