FAYETTE (KWWL)--  The smell of marijuana brought the Fayette police officers to an Upper Iowa University dorm room in Fayette Tuesday.

Fayette police say when they arrived at the dorm room of Isaac Threadgill, of Freeport, Illinois, Threadgill ran from police only to be apprehended after a foot pursuit. When caught, police found several bags of marijuana and cash. A further search of his room helped police find a digital scale, plastic baggies and more than $800 in cash. A computer tower belonging to Threadgill's alleged cousin, Logan Farrar, was found to be filled with more than 12 ounces of marijuana according to police.

Both men face Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver. Threadgill was also charged with Interference by Evidence Tampering after he attempted to eat some marijuana in his room and resisting arrest by fleeing. Upper Iowa Security assisted in the alleged drug bust.

Through Interviews and search warrants, additional suspects living in and around Fayette have been identified and will be pursued.
