Anamosa man gets more than six years in federal prison

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- An Anamosa man who was found with three guns will spend more than six years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of firearms.

Larry Huston, 42, was sentenced on Wednesday after pleading guilty on September 3, 2010.

During a search on December 11, 2008, Anamosa Police Officers found two shotguns and a .22 caliber/.410 gauge combination rifle/shotgun in a small closet in the kitchen.

Huston had previously been convicted for Burglary, Forgery, and Second Degree Theft.  He also had escapes in his record.

Huston was sentenced to six and a half years in prison and must serve a three-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
