Manchester man to stand trial for cutting out a pacemaker

MANCHESTER (KWWL) -- A Manchester man accused of cutting his father's pacemaker from his chest has been ruled competent to stand trial.   Jesse Fierstine is accused of attacking his father, Charles, in April 2009.  Investigators say Fierstine used a pocketknife to remove the pacemaker.  His 63-year-old father recovered from the attack but died last year from illness.  The trial could be set as early as next month.  3 previous evalutions had disagreed on the 33 year old's competence to stand trial.
