WAVERLY (KWWL) -- A Waverly man has been arrested after police say he impersonated a paramedic.

Christopher Hill, 24, faces a felony charge of prohibited acts.

Waverly police say last Wednesday, Hill showed up at a serious injury call wearing a paramedic shirt saying he heard the call on the scanner and worked for Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

He left while officers were clearing the scene. Police later determined that he did not work for the hospital and sent a photo of Hill to other agencies.

On Saturday, Cedar Falls Police say a man showed up to a call saying he was an EMT with the Waverly Hospital.

Hill was arrested later that day. He is being held on a $10,000 bond.
