WATERLOO (KWWL) - A man who was injured in a fatal house fire has now been charged with arson.

Emergency crews responded to a house fire at 2861 Logan Avenue just before 4 a.m. on Monday. Fifty-year-old Glenn Dean Jackson and a second unidentified person were taken to the hospital with injuries. Sandra Jo Nash, 57, was killed in the fire.

Jackson was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. He was released on Tuesday and taken into custody. Police say that fire investigators found accelerants inside the house and on Jackson's clothes. They also say Jackson admitted to setting the fire during questioning.

Jackson has been charged with First Degree Arson. He is being held on $250,000 bond.
