Toledo man pleads guilty to threatening brother with gun

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- A Toledo felon has pleaded guilty to possessing a sawed-off shotgun and using it to threaten his brother.

Todd Young, 45, was convicted of one charge of Possessing an Unregistered Sawed-Off Shotgun on Monday.

According to court information, Young was convicted of felony Operating While Intoxicated third offense in Tama County in 1995 and Jasper County in 1996.  Then, on November 3, 2008, he threatened his brother with the shotgun.

Police found the gun under Young's bed during a search.  He admitted to using the gun to scare his brother.

A sentencing date has not been set, but Young faces up to 10 years in prison, up to a $250,000 fine and up to three years of supervised release following his prison term.
