IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- Iowa City Police say a cab driver is facing a sexual abuse charge after an incident with a female passenger.

According to the police report, a female passenger got into a cab driven by Jamal Basheir Younis, 36, around 11:50 p.m. Friday night in the 300 block of S. Gilbert Street.

She asked Younis if she could be dropped off at her residence.  According to the report, Younis told the woman that he had other fares to drop off first and asked if she could wait.

The woman told police that Younis drove around for more than an hour picking up and dropping off other fares while she was in the cab.

The report goes on to say that once Younis was alone with the woman in the cab, he put his hand on her knee and started to rub her crotch.

According to the report, Younis then told the woman, "I can make girls scream."

Younis told police that he often flirts with female passengers but it's nothing serious.

The victim told police that Younis' actions were unwanted, unsolicited and offensive.

Younis is charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse.
