Waterloo Police investigating Sunday morning shooting

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Waterloo Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 1000 block of Leavitt Street early Sunday morning.

Cpt. Tim Pillack says officers were called there around midnight and they found a car that had been shot and he says two apartments had bullet holes in them.

Pillack says the car was towed away and is being processed for evidence.  He adds that at least five shots were fire.

A woman who says she lives in one of the apartments says she doesn't understand why anyone would do this and was scared.  She says her and her daughter were inside the apartment when the shots rang out.

Police haven't arrested anyone yet, but say they are continuing to investigate.
