UNI Women win 5th straight 69-37 over Evansville

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL)-- The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team scored the first nine points against Evansville and never looked back in a 69-37 win over the Purple Aces Friday night in the McLeod Center, the Panthers' fifth straight victory.  Evansville's 37 points are the fewest the Panthers have ever allowed in Missouri Valley Conference action and the fewest against anyone since UNI topped Detroit 62-35 in 2007.

K.K. Armstrong led UNI (13-5, 6-1 MVC) with 13 points, and she also dished our four assists. Katelin Oney and Rachel Madrigal each scored 12 points, and Amber Kirschbaum notched her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Jacqui Kalin finished with eight points, eight rebounds and five assists for UNI.
