Reward offered in area farm vandalisms

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- A group that supports the state's farmers is offering a reward to help find those that vandalized several area farms in November.

The Coalition to Support Iowa's Farmers is offering $7,500 to help find those responsible for vandalizing farms in Bremer, Chickasaw and Fayette Counties.

In Fayette and Chickasaw Counties, hog confinement buildings and barns were damaged, while in Bremer County it was a turkey farm that was hit. In most cases vandals broke windows, spilled liquids onto floors, plugged drains and used shotguns to damage transformers cutting power to buildings

Authorities haven't said whether or not the cases are connected.

If you have any information on these vandalism's, contact either the Bremer, Chickasaw or Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
