CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- A three vehicle accident on Highway 58 between Greenhill Road and University Avenue in Cedar Falls caused crews to shutdown the highway around noon on Tuesday.

According to Cedar Falls Police Chief Jeff Olson, Viola Peters, 88, of Wellsburg, was driving southbound on the northbound side of Highway 58 when she collided with a second vehicle.  The second vehicle, driven by Jalia Ravn, 20, of Cedar Falls, was then rear-ended by a semi driven by James Hansel, 53, of Dyersville.

Olson says all injuries appear to be minor.

A friend tells us that Ravn has been released from the hospital.  She is on crutches, has bruised hands and is very sore.  Her car was completely totaled.

Information on the other two drivers has not been made available to us.

The northbound lanes of Highway 58 were shut down at Greenhill Road while crews investigated and cleaned-up the accident.
