Hawks upset bid falls short, OSU wins 73-68

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- Ohio State needed a second half rally, and the 2nd ranked Buckeyes got it as they held off the upset minded Hawkeyes 73-68.

Iowa freshman Melsahn Besabe led the team with 22 points in a losing effort.

The Hawks shot 47% from 3 point range, and led OSU by 6 at the halftime break.  The Buckeyes, however, opened the 2nd half on a 13-5 run, and later followed with a 10-0 run to put the game away in the end.

Iowa will go after their first Big Ten win of the season Sunday at Purdue.
