An early Christmas gift for a North Liberty boy

HIAWATHA (KWWL)--  Just in the nick of time for Christmas, five-year-old Aiden Babka of North Liberty is the proud new owner of a bike.

But it's not your average bike.  It's an adaptive bike made especially for Babka. Aiden has Cerebal Palsy and Epilepsy. It's believed he developed Cerebral Palsy when he was a baby after suffering a stroke.

Each week, he goes to physical therapy and while there, he took a special interest in an adaptive bike. On Thursday, during one of his sessions at St. Luke's Witwer Children's Therapy in Hiawatha,  he was given a bike made especially for him.

An adaptive bike can cost more than $3,000  Aiden's bike was made possible through money from St. Luke's Health Care Foundation.
