Senior fall safety recommendations

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KWWL)--  The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force is revising its guidelines for preventing falls among the elderly.

A review of 50 clinical trials finds exercise and vitamin "D" are the best ways people over age 65 can lower their risk of falling. Researchers estimate about 30% - 40% of people over 65 and living on their own, fall at least once a year.
