Annual Madrigal Christmas dinner in 32nd year

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- Dubuque Senior High School hosted its annual Madrigal Christmas Dinner.

65 students sang, played music or served at the dinner, which benefits the high school's music department.

The annual event has always been at Dubuque's Masonic Lodge and includes a seven-course meal and performances by the high school music ensembles.

"This is a great family tradition," Dubuque Senior High School choir director and event organizer Chris Marple said. "I know I participated in these all through college, and it's great to have this as part of my life again, and I know many people in the community come back yearly for the event."

Bad weather forced organizers to cancel Saturday night's dinner, but they rescheduled it for Monday.

At Sunday night's dinner, Marple said tickets are still available for Monday, and they're $28 each. Anyone interested can call Dubuque Senior High School for more information, at (563) 552-5500.
