Brace for a weekend winter storm!

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- The first measurable snow of the season is taking aim on eastern Iowa. We will see increasing clouds through the morning hours with snow developing in the afternoon. The brunt of the snowfall will not occur until after sunset Friday. At this time, it appears the heaviest snow will fall roughly along and north of US 20, to the tune of 3 to 6". Lesser amounts will fall south of there. The snow will gradually come to an end by Saturday afternoon. With the new snowfall, temperatures will remain fairly chilly for next week.
