"Stuff the Bus" kicks off in Vinton

VINTON (KWWL) -- WMT's morning show kicked off a holiday tradition in Vinton Monday morning.

Andy Petersen, host of The Morning Show with Andy Petersen, took his show to Ervin Motors in Vinton to kick off their annual "Stuff the Bus" toy drive.

Each morning this week, Andy will be live at various locations asking for Christmas gift donations to help families in need this holiday season.

While many of the toy donations are aimed at younger kids, Andy reminds people that the older kids would like to have things to open on Christmas morning.  He suggests gift cards as a way to help spread the holiday cheer to the older kids.

Andy will travel to each location using a bus from Cedar Valley World Travel.

Monday, November 29th:
Live broadcast @ Ervin Motors in Vinton 6-9am

You can also drop off your gifts at The Koffee House and Windsor Manor Assisted Living in Vinton. All gift donations go to Harvest House Ministries in Vinton.

Tuesday, November 30th:
Live broadcast @ Bauman & Company in Mount Vernon 6-9am

All gift donations will go to the Southeast Linn Community Center

Wednesday, December 1st:
Live broadcast @ Huntington's Restaurant on 7th Avenue in Marion 6-9 am

All gift donations will go to the Salvation Army's "Toys for Tots" Project.

Thursday, December 2nd:
Live broadcast @ Tommy's Restaurant on Edgewood Road Northwest in Cedar Rapids 6-9 am

All gift donations will go to the Salvation Army's "Toys for Tots" Project.

Friday, December 3rd:
Live broadcast @ Coffesmith's, 7037 "C" Avenue Northeast in Cedar Rapids 6-9 am

All gift donations will go to the Salvation Army's "Toys for Tots" Project.
