Fayette County hog confinement break-ins being investigated

FAYETTE COUNTY (KWWL) -- The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is investigating three separate break-ins to hog confinement operations that happened between the night of November 27th and the morning of November 28th.

Deputies say the first incident happened at 24430 130th Street.  They say someone broke into the office and vandalized the building and then shot a hole in the transformer at the pole to the building with a shotgun.  Damage is estimated in the thousands of dollars.

The second incident was reported at 21714 O Avenue.  Deputies say someone entered the building and confinement area and released several hogs and vandalized the office area.  Damages are estimated in the thousands of dollars.

The third report came from 14740 200th Street.  Deputies say again someone entered the building and vandalized the inside.  They say equipment was used to push doors open and damage the structure of the unit.  Hogs were also let out in this incident.
