Iowa City Police investigate east side vandalism


IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- Since November 20,  the Iowa City Police Department has taken 14 complaints of criminal mischief on the East side.

Several incidents occurred in the neighborhoods off of Scott Blvd and E. Court St and are believed to have occurred during the overnight hours. Victims reported damage to mailboxes, vehicles, yard lights, and windows.

Police say one victim reported seeing a teenaged male dressed in all black running from her yard after she heard her yard light being smashed.

Iowa City Police have not located a suspect or suspects responsible for the damage.

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect/s.
