Hawks stunned, Floyd goes to Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (KWWL) -- Dwayne Bennett's 6 yard run gave Minnesota a late 4th quarter lead they never gave up, and Floyd of Rosedale will reside in Minneapolis for the first time in 4 years with the Gophers stunning Iowa 27-24.

Hawkeye freshman Marcus Coker carried the ball 21 times for 90 yards, but it was Coker's fumble in the final minutes with Minnesota leading that sealed the deal.

For the Hawkeyes, the loss just capped a disappointing season that began with dreams of a national title.  Iowa's 7-5 record will now likely land the team in a mid-tier Big Ten bowl such as the Outback or Gator Bowl.
