CEDAR RAPIDS(KWWL) -- The storybook season continues for Janesville. The Wildcats, the smallest school in this year's tournament, advanced to Saturday's Class 1A championship match with a 25-18, 25-23, 24-26, 25-20 victory over Stanton.

Janesville, making the school's first-ever state tournament appearance in any team sport, will face top-ranked Tripoli in the Class 1A championship match at 5:00 p.m.

Janesville and Tripoli are both members of the Iowa Star Conference and met twice during the regular season, with Tripoli winning both matches.

Olivia Fisher and Karli Kruse combined for 35 of Janesville's 45 kills, with Fisher leading the way with 22 kills and 23 digs and four service aces.

Kadie Subbert led Stanton with 25 kills and 15 digs. The Viqueens end their year with a 28-4 record.
