Hawks prepare for pesky Cats

IOWA CITY (KWWL)-- In a season that's been decimated by injuries Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz delivered some good news at his weekly press conference Tuesday.

Running back Adam Robinson is set to play Saturday versus Northwestern after missing last week's game versus Indiana due to injury.

The Hawks could really use Robinson, even though they'll go into Evanston as favorites.  The Hawkeyes are facing a team that's been a thorn in their side over the years.

Iowa has lost four of its last five to the Wildcats, including a difficult one to stomach last year at Kinnick that ended its then perfect season.

The recipe for the Wildcats success has been simple...turnovers.  The Hawks have given the ball away nine times against the Cats in the last two years.

"They've done the things you're supposed to do," Hawk head coach Kirk Ferentz said.  "Winning starts with not beating yourself, and they sat there while we turned it over nine times and got on the bus and giggled all the way to Chicago because we turned it over nine times.  They turned it over twice.  You know if you can do that, you sure like your odds in a game.''

The Hawks and the Cats kick it off at 11 o'clock Saturday from Ryan Field.
