JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI (KWWL) -- Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. is voluntarily recalling 288,000 eggs after tests came back positive for salmonella bacteria.

The eggs were purchased from Ohio Fresh Eggs and repackaged at a facility in Arkansas between Oct. 9 and 12, 2010.

The eggs involved were distributed to food wholesalers and retailers in Arkansas, California, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.  They are packaged under the names Sunny Meadow, Springfield Grocer, Sun Valley and James Farm.  Click the link below for detailed information about the dates and factory codes.

The company says there have been no confirmed illnesses related to the purchased eggs.

Austin "Jack" DeCoster, owner of one of the two Iowa egg farms that was linked to 1,600 salmonella illnesses earlier this year, has been a financial backer of Ohio Fresh Egg. The company did not immediately return a call for comment.
