Beckman rallies past Columbus 32-27

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Dyersville Beckman seemed dead in the water Monday night, but righted the ship erasing an 18 point deficit to rally past Waterloo Columbus 32-27.

The Sailors opened the scoring with a pair of safeties.  The first occured when Beckman snapped the ball out of the endzone on a punt attempt.  While Andrew Street dropped running back Derek Hammann in the endzone for the second putting Columbus up 8 nothing.

Sailor Quarterback Jay Schmitt fired a pair of touchdown passes, one to Lamar Sayles, the other to Chris Sink as Columbus led 18-0 midway through the second quarter.

Columbus rallied behind a huge night from Ty Troutman.  Troutman opened the scoring with a 30 yard touchdown run on a reverse play.  Blazer quarterback Connor Golden found Troutman in the endzone 2 more times as the Blazers used a 26-0 run in the second and their quarter to rally for the win.
