North Fayette advances in win over Osage

West Union (KWWL) -- North Fayette has been a staple in the playoffs going 8 of the last 10 years and at 9-0 the second ranked Hawks are looking to do some damage once again against a tough Osage team that won its final three games to get in the playoffs.

Early in the game the Green Devils block a Hawk's punt and capitalize with a 1 yard touchdown run by Trevor Molitor to make it 7-0 Osage.

On the Hawks ensuing drive, Reid Nuss throws a bullet to Cody Grimes for 21 yards to make it 7-6 after a missed PAT.

The Hawks then force an Osage 3 and out and first play of the drive – Jake Greco makes a man miss and he goes 65 yards to the house – the 2 point conversion is good  and it's 14-7 Hawks.

In the second quarter it was more of the same as Greco takes it 42 yards for the touchdown. And North Fayette moves on Wednesday night, 27-14.

Sumner-Fredericksburg also beat Iowa Falls-Alden Wednesday, so it will be a rivalry match up Monday night as North Fayette plays Sumner-Fredericksburg.
