The Falcons fly past the Eagles 48 to 27

PARKERSBURG (KWWL) -- It has been a special season for Aplington-Parkersburg and new Head coach Alex Pollack. The Falcons entered the first round of the playoffs unbeaten.

A-P hosted an Eagle Grove team that finished fourth in its district.

The Falcons came out fired up despite the bitter cold. Already up seven to nothing quarterback Austin Ryan would get his own number called, rumbling in from 15 yards out. With the extra point the Falcons go up by 14 in the first quarter.

The Eagles didn't drive all that way to Parkersburg for nothing. Running back Austin Rutherford would hustle into the end zone from 30 yards out. The Eagles would be denied on the two point conversion, but put six points on the board.

Just minutes later Eagle Grove Quarterback Andy Bell would take it in himself from five yards out. This time they would get the two point conversion and Eagle Grove would have things tied up at the end of the first quarter.

In the second, A-P would march down the field and Dylan Bellows would cap the drive with a one yard run.

A-P would get another boost from Bellows just minutes later, this one from 25 yards out as he finds the end zone.

At the end of the first half A-P would go into the locker room up 28 to 14 and the first half would look a lot like the second as the Falcons fly past the Eagles 48 to 27.
