Hawks look to bounce back against unbeaten Michigan State

IOWA CITY(KWWL)--The Hawkeyes' loss to Wisconsin hurt.

Iowa runningback Adam Robinson said, "You have to put it behind you, no matter how tough it was or how good of a win it was. You just have to put it back and look forward to the next one.''

The Hawkeyes can bounce back with a win over unbeaten Michigan State on Saturday.

Iowa Quarterback Ricky Stanzi said, "Our biggest challenge right now is doing our best to focus on Michigan State and just go about it with the same mentality and attitude that we have every week.''

After several mistakes in last Saturday's 31-30 loss to Wisconsin, Iowa will try to refocus.

Iowa Head coach Kirk Ferentz,  ''We had some inexperienced mistakes and some veteran guys that made critical errors, too, and that's the part, I'd like to minimize those, because you're not counting on that going in. I blew some things too, and all those things add up and we've gotta do a better job.

''You know you can clean up those mistakes. It wasn't anything about effort or hustle, because I think that was pretty good on Saturday, but we just have to play smarter on defense really,'' said Iowa defensive lineman Christian Ballard.

''We definitely do control our own destiny at this point, but it's one of those things where we can't get focused on the would have been and could have been and also we can't look forward and say if we do this, this week and this the next week,'' said Iowa offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde.  ''It's gotta be one week at a time.
