Man jumped and robbed in Iowa City

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- Iowa City Police are investigating a robbery that happened on Saturday in the area of Summit and Court Streets.

A man told police that he was walking home along Burlington Street when he sensed someone walking behind him.

He told police that when he got to the area of Summit Street and Court Street, he was tackled from behind and had his wallet ripped out of his back pocket.  He told police that the suspect ran away before he could react.

The suspect is described as approximately 5'8", wearing a puffy coat and a stocking cap.

The victim was not injured.
