Man pulled from Cedar River near Park Avenue bridge

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Waterloo Fire and Rescue crews pulled a man from the Cedar River near the Park Avenue bridge Tuesday morning.

Crews were called to the bridge at around 10:40 a.m. after someone called 911 saying someone was in the river.

The man was able to walk up to the bridge with the help of rescue personnel.

He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for hypothermia.

Waterloo Police say the man went into the river to get a bike that was floating in the water.

The man's name has not been released.
