WATERLOO (KWWL) -- There are less than two weeks remaining before the November general election, and hundreds of thousands of Iowans have already requested absentee ballots.
As of Tuesday, the Secretary of State reported 293,079 requests had been made. 85.69% of those were by mail. 12.72% were made in person. 1.6% were made by other means.
Secretary of State Michael Mauro reminded Iowans there is still plenty of time to cast a ballot early for the General Election. Mauro is being challenged by Republican Matt Schultz and Libertarian Jake Porter.
