Hawkeyes get ready for Badgers

IOWA CITY (KWWL)-- One of the big match ups in the upcoming Iowa/Wisconsin game on Saturday is the Hawkeye defensive line against the massive Badger offensive line.

"Wisconsin's had a lot of success with this group, and we could say the same,'' said head coach Kirk Ferentz. ''Our defensive line has played pretty well for a period of time now. I think as a fan, it would be really a point of interest, and it's an interesting match-up."

"They are probably one of the better offensive linemen in the nation, so yeah, we're looking forward to the challenge,'' said Hawkeye defensive lineman Karl Klug.

Running behind the big guys the Hawks will have to slow down one of the best running back tandems in the country in former Big Ten offensive player of the year John Clay and emerging freshman James White

Ferentz said, "Clay's a very strong, tough runner and very explosive. James White's a totally different type guy. So it gives them a nice, I think, effective changeup and they've really used it well. It's been good for them."

Iowa safety Tyler Sash says, "They're going to take their shots down field, with play action and trying to hit one, while you're trying to defend the run.''
